Looking at pay taxable income is one of those things a lot of schools and employers do to ensure their students and employees weren't involved in anything unsavory and that they do not have any conflicts of interest. Like porn or working for a competitor's research division.

Yeah, because of the background check. It's highly unlikely the AMCAS will call up any of the employers unless there's a huge red flag, so he erred on the side of including his little side job while keeping its details as vague as necessary.

Well I guess I don't necessarily consider myself smart, but I'll give my thoughts anyway. I'd say I'm apathetic about religion. I feel like if I believed in a specific religion, it wouldn't be strong enough to alter my behavior, and even if it did, that would be a problem. I also have problems with modern christianity and the whole post of mine which you replied to, which would basically lead to me feel that if the modern interp of christianity is really how it goes, then I'd truly prefer to be in hell. I don't want to live my life in fear of some eternal consequence. I'd rather try to be the best I can be personally and let the cards fall from there.

My biggest disagreement with any organized religion is that nearly all of them require you to acknowledge that religion is correct to reap the "benefits" in the after-life of whatever that religion proclaims. I am highly speculative that if there was a supreme being, it would care if a measly human accepted/refuted it's existence, and would merely judge based on the person's actions and character.
