As far as I know, the process is the same for all public schools in Ohio and the financial aid director at University of Cincinnati made it seem like a very easy process. He said of current M2s only 2 who attempted to get in-state weren’t able. Also I don’t think this is a one-time thing. So even if you aren’t able to get it for M2, you should be able to rectify things in time for M3.Anyone know how easy it is to obtain state residency after 1st year? I know at the interview they mentioned how some students don't claim it successfully. I also wished they would have emphasized that tuition goes up 50% in year 3 and year 4. I don't think I would be able to afford a $114K cost of attendance year 3 and 4 if not given state residency.
Not exactly an answer to your question but hopefully helpful!
