Maybe they haven't completely closed it.
"Unfortunately, our class is full as of this writing, and it is the conclusion of the Admissions Committee that there is little chance for your admission from the Waiting List."
Upon a few more readings, that could be just directed toward just me. Sorry for the possibly unwarranted drama.
The email does not specifically state that the class is closed, only that there are 92 people (the target class size I was told at my interview was 85; last year's class is 89, if I remember correctly).
That paired with the fact that it's rather late in the cycle, probably resulted in me generalizing too much.
Full disclosure, last month, I got into my second choice school which is 2 miles away from where I live. After that I stopped contacting Geisel because I felt like I needed to start preparing for my almost certain future rather than continue to fixate on my dream school when there seemed to be almost no chance for me to be accepted.
It's quite possible I was released from the waitlist due to Geisel perceiving lack of interest from me due to no contact for over a month.
Again, sorry if I overgeneralized and upset/worried anyone.
