Trying to decide if it would be worth it for me to apply to USC-Greenville with a 3.77 GPA and 514 MCAT.

Does the school strongly consider regional/state ties? I've been a resident of NC for the past 12 years or so, but grew up in Charleston, SC and lived there for 8 years. I could make a strong case for wanting to return to SC in the secondary somewhere and about having a soft spot for the state.

I saw that this was part of the secondary from last year:

3. If you are not a South Carolina resident, what relationships, bonds, or interests do you have to this state? (If not applicable, this question may be left blank.)

Thoughts? Or should I substitute with something more high yield?

From my experience this cycle, it is worth an app. You do have ties, and if you check out the current thread, there are some OOS with no ties and similar stats who were admitted.
