I know they made all our football and hockey players take yoga to help increase flexibility and prevent injuries

I really enjoyed it.
How much do you squat? I'm curious and hope you don't mind me asking. You're strong, yet you're not into big muscular dudes?

Honey I can't squat. I can barely walk TBH

A lifetime ago I could squat like 100

Edit: im a fan of people who are strong, but not meat head looking. in high school I dated a girl who was a pretty serious weightlifter. Mr. Tp was a wrestler so he has that slim but muscular thing going on.

But you (used to) play rugby right? And you look like you can kick ass, but you're not into big athletic types?

See my edit.

Yeah I'm hoping at some point I'll be able to play again after my surgery. But we'll see

Just making sure there was no typo, is Mr. TP your boo? Did the high school girl look too beefy?

What do you guys think about kettle bell training?

It's a useful tool, nothing to base your workouts around though. To cite Dan John, one of the most knowledgeable trainers in the world, there are only 5 types of lifts you need:

Push
Pull
Hinge (DL/RDL/Kettleball swing)
Squat
Carry (Farmer's walk/Suit case carry)

If you're trying to improve your aesthetics or certain specific functions, emphasizing and adding lifts is important as well.

Oh look. This conversation again.

No typo. And as much as I would like to throw my ex under the bus she doesn't deserve it.

I wasn't implying anything of the sort, simply gauging your perspective on ideal body types, and if it differed between the sexes. My former roommate would only date "beefy or muscular" people, regardless of sex.

I don't have a real type. I've dated big girls, thin girls, really butch, more femme. And then mr. Tp looks like a damn lumberjack. So idk lol

.

Not all weightlifting women look "beefy"...for instance olympic lifter julia rohde

I want to buy her virginity and give it to Max Hardcore.

I did not imply that. Also when she said weight lifter I assumed power lifter, not olympic lifter. Olympic lifters tend to have pretty good proportions. Power lifters on the other hand tend to go for max strength

A girl in my class is a competitive powerlifter. 130 lbs and a total on the big 3 of juuuust barely under 1k. Would never guess

That's good to hear, actually. me assumed you were a small guy based on your posts. Those numbers make a lot more sense at your weight, and they're solid, IMO. You should get back into lifting if your back allows it. me get really happy when me see people lifting with good form, so good on ya.

:)

Well, I actually tried deadlifts again a few weeks back. I went light (what I thought was light), 225x6 for my final set. Well, there was no pain, but my lower back was sore for 3 days, which has never happened before. After that I got sorta discouraged and was unsure about trying to deadlift again.

I can bench without any pain at all.

Any squatting causes me difficulty and left lower back pain, so I never plan to squat again.

It felt like something other than DOMS?

To be fair, the weightlifter I dated was pretty fat.

So.... have you gotten laid yet?

I seriously want you to get it wet. I mean not by me personally, but in general.

One step at a time, my friend. First I gotta go ham on the books and get a stable footing in med school classes, then get back into going ham at the gym, then I'll start going ham on the bishes.

If I'm barely passing med school classes, it won't help my life to take hours out of my day to approach random women and getting rejected by the vast majority.

Ok. Step one. Stop saying bishes.

Yeah I didn't mean it as a pejorative term, it's just a force of habit. The SDNers here in my med school class will know my motto: "First you gotta go ham on the books, then the booze, then the bishes."

Metaphorically speaking, of course. I would never actually read a book besides BRS or First Aid or another prep book, real books are too low yield.

Le sigh.

I give up

Bish by definition is pejorative.

And I'm not going to offer advice to help someone get women if they don't respect women.

Look I only use the phrase because it starts with a "b," like "books" and "booze" (and "bud"). Where's your sense of poetry?

As I mentioned, if it's that big a deal I won't use the phrase anymore.

There is no need to say that word. If you are looking for a b word what is wrong with bitty?

Babes, beauties, beautiful women. Sooooo many better choices if you just have to have alliteration in your life

Also, maybe not going "ham" on the alcohol might help your chances of finding a meaningful relationship

We have at least 2 women here who know a porn star by his face only.

I find this interesting on multiple accounts...

For the record, I have no idea who this is. Looks like a cast member of 90201 or something.

Proof that women are just as turned on by porn as men are.

I associate the word bishes/bitches with women who are angry, mean, have a bad attitude, unable to get along with others. Hardly a word I would use to describe the female gender.

I have no idea why this would come as a surprise to anyone

Tell that to the hypocritical feminists who believe that porn is somehow "degrading" to women or women who say they don't fart.

You have no idea how many arguments I've had with other feminists about the nature of pornography. I wrote my women studies capstone on how Catherine Mackinnon is full of shet and that we need to be supporting feminists within the industry to help create more female friendly porn. That shaming women's sexual behavior is ****ed up regardless of who it comes from.
