Interview invite! Complete 08/05.
I applied to the MD/ScM program, but the email did not mention the ScM at all. Not sure if that means this is an MD-only interview, or if it's for both?you're having a great day @PolarBearMD !! congrats - i'm very jealous!!
did you apply to just the MD?
II! OOS, complete 7/20. I am in utter disbelief, but so excited!
Edited to add: I applied MD only.
II!!--nontrad
I think so. I'm in the same boat! When you guys saying "nontraditional," how many years out of undergrad does that mean? If I'm matriculating 3 years after graduating, does that also make me "nontraditional?"
That's interesting -- I feel like time away from education after undergrad is becoming the new traditional...I think so. I'm in the same boat!
I agree, but I think 1 or more gap years is still considered non-traditional by most adcoms. I consider myself non-trad though because I have a legal background rather than a medical one, not because I'll be out of school for 3 years. That's interesting -- I feel like time away from education after undergrad is becoming the new traditional...
? I didn't say anything about the number that each school sent out, I just said that 98% of school have sent out II which is fact. Dude got an II at a school that accepts 85% of the people they interview, he's golden.
Thank you! This is from a couple years ago but from USNEWS in 2012-2013:
OOS
6121 applied
281 interviewed
212 were accepted
104 enrolled
So maybe 75% is a better estimate
Congratulations! Would you mind sharing stats?II this morning!! Complete 9/1. Dates were Thursdays in November, as far as I saw.
thank you and sure! LizzyM 75, no extremes in either mcat/gpaCongratulations! Would you mind sharing stats?

nooooo do not say such things!!!I'm guessing that Brown is almost done handing out II if the dates are already in November.
exactly. They interview until the end of February. I'd say they're a little over half way done handing out IIs.
Congrats on your interview! Is there any chance that by complete date you actually mean 8/1? Or did you really have a two-day turnaround?II this morning!! Complete 9/1. Dates were Thursdays in November, as far as I saw.
Thank you! My committee letter came in disgustingly late on 8/31 and I was complete the next day. I'm not sure what goes on the back end, but I also didn't expect the quick turnaround!
Don't lose hope everyone, it seems like this process is random of all kinds, and I'm sure there are plenty of interview slots left.
I only got an email stating that my secondary app was received. On the portal it says that my application is complete. What kind of emails did everyone receive stating that they were complete? I'm not sure if I've actually received a complete email yet even though I submitted almost three weeks ago...

I emailed admissions yesterday since I submitted my secondary 7/12 and never got a complete email. They responded this morning and said that the portal may have glitches from time to time and not send complete emails out but if it's complete on the portal, then your app is complete. You can always email to check just in caseThanks, I guess I haven't received any emails like that yet...
On a Saturday? Wow congrats!
Do you mind letting us know which dates were available?
I am sorry if this is redundant, but I am really confused after reading this thread. At first people were saying that Brown does not screen before sending secondaries, which would indicate to me that everyone who applies gets one. But now that there is a realized delay between applying to Brown via AMCAS and getting any type of communication, it seems like people are super excited to be receiving a secondary, as though they are not just automatic... I avoided adding this school until a week ago despite my keen interest because I am up to my head in secondaries and was afraid to look "sluggish" or disinterested because of the long turnaround time on my end. Now I am realizing that was not the smartest decision because Brown definitely does not send out their secondaries via some type of automated system as soon as you add the school via AMCAS. Let me know if you have any insight. Thanks!
