probably just reading too much into things as usual, but is it bad that i haven't received the hold status post-interview yet? i interviewed toward the end of feb and received the survey update about a week later.

You can call them and ask. The same thing happened to me and after I calling, they told me I have been reviewed and they just hadn't updated my status yet. About a day later, they updated me to the hold status.

It all happens at once from what i understand. All of us who didnt get an update yet should look to the waitlist

From what I understand in state movement is less than out of state. Usually around maybe 50-60 people are accepted off of it from what i've read from past threads, but that number may be a little off.
 
i think 50-60 seems a bit too high just for IS. i remember dr. whitehurst cook saying on interview day that there really wasn't much IS movement last year or in recent years for that matter. it's probably better to just call the school and ask or email dr. whitehurst cook if you want a more definitive answer...

as for me... i'm considering withdrawing since i didn't hear back today. too much heartbreak from vcu over the last 2 years :(
 
Interviewed in early October and was hoping I would hear back today. VCU, you break my heart

How do we know if we are on the wait list? Mine still says I'm on hold, so does that mean I'm on the waitlist?

We should find out soon if we're on the waitlist or rejected. I think by the end of this week maybe, but definitely before the end of this month.
 
Accepted, but likely to withdraw. I hope one of yall will get my seat!

2012-13: 5/19 (x3), 5/24, 6/10, 7/9 **New building opened, causing diff. WL acc schedule
2011-12: 4/12, 5/2, 5/15 (x10), 5/17, 5/22 (x3), 5/23, 6/1 (x4), 6/12 (x4), 6/28, 7/26, orient. wk

I know that right around May 15th is a big time for the waitlist due to the fact that students with multiple acceptances are required to withdraw from all but one.

Am I correct to assume that these are only results from SDN? Therefore the actual WL movement is slightly more?
 
There was very little movement last year. Almost none for IS. I was on the WL last year and got an acceptance this year.

I interviewed early October as well. I gave up on VCU a while ago.. I am in state so even if i get waitlisted, it really doesnt mean much

How were you notified about the second look dinner? Do you know if it is for all accepted students? I was really impressed with the school and would love a second chance to see the school before making my final decision!
 
I'm pretty sure second look is invite only. Not all accepted students nor waitlisted students received an invite. I think it's hosted by a couple student groups for particular demographics.
 
Just got the waitlist notification. Interviewed in December, OOS.

Just got this email:

Your complete application has been considered carefully by the Admissions Committee, and we regret that we are unable to offer you a position in the class beginning in August 2015.

Rejected post-interview...
 
Waitlist. OS, interviewed in February.

Anyone on the wait list mind sharing stats? I was 3.35 cGPA, 3.64 sGPA, and a 36. IS

Rejected. In state, interviewed early October.

Tough end to a nearly 6 month wait.
