Saint Louis vs. Iowa

Hi everyone,

So I was just taken off the waitlist for Iowa, and I'm having a lot of trouble deciding where to go. Here's a list of the pros and cons for both schools:

Saint Louis
+pros: true pass/fail curriculum, bigger city, felt like I really "connected" with the students better here and really liked the vibe of the school, larger class size
-cons: St. Louis is a dangerous city, facilities are older, lower ranking

Iowa
+pros: better ranking/reputation, safer location, facilities are much better
-cons: rural location, Honors/near honors/pass/fail curriculum

Price is pretty much the same for both. Where do you think I should go? Which would give me the better leg up for residency matching?

Are you interested in the Distinction tracks at Iowa? If those don't interest you then maybe stick with SLU. I interviewed at both and was impressed with their commitment to student mental health. St Louis is more dangerous but the area around the school is fine.
