Thought this may be helpful for 4th years about to match and those who already have. What type of correspondence has everyone had with their programs and future co-residents after they have matched and throughout their first pgy.

1. make sure your mailing address is correct.
2. make certain regarding the institution's policy on USMLE step III.
3. find out about the medical license requirement of your given state.

that's about all...

You should probably start worrying about surviving your MICU or SICU calls during your prelim/transitional year...

don't worry about PGY2 year too much at this point.

If I'm understanding the question correctly, I didn't get any "congrats and welcome" emails or phone calls after the match. I think this is fairly commonplace.

My program called me to welcome me the day after match day. Other than that, I have heard nothing from them until this week, when I got the first (of many, I'm sure) email requesting my info so they can send me schedules, paperwork, etc.

I've tried to reach the other resident who will be with me, but to no avail.
