Wow...luv the car! I'm looking to buy a BMW 328xi coupe. I need all wheel drive with living in OH...snow....

I have a '92 Toyota Paseo w/ 120k miles and a '02 VW Cabrio w/ 88k miles. The Toyota is my backup. The Toyota actually runs better than my VW!

Look at the 335xi! Turbo charged and all wheel drive!!! I had a 335i but traded it in for the M. Love the M and never regret it:)

You're already going to shell out the extra bucks for the BMW logo, it might as well be one of the ones that has a little get up and go to it.;)

Oh man, it may be turbo, but its not wicked fast or anything! Its a smooth ride! 300 hp and 300 lbs of torque! Its a hell of a ride and look great too! Yournever to old for a turbo BMW!:)

True...so true!!

Sorry...I don't know why it posted twice. Ooopps!!

2006 Honda Accord on a 39 month lease that's due to end in May 2009. However, I'm already at 38,700 miles. So, I'm trying to get a early lease termination.

My next car is going to be either a 2004 BMW 330i w/ Performance Package, 2009 VW GTI, 2009 Subaru WRX (Vastly improved, 265 bhp now), and maybe a Nissan Sentra Spec V.

An old Beamer should fit for any pharmacist, because pharmacy is old school.

Sold my 96 gsr for pharm school. Great car... light, agile, 30 mpg. 25 if I drove less conservative. High revs down the topanga canyon to pch...I miss indeed.

The s2000 is a fun car especially if you like an agile car more than a powerful car.

Personally, I do prefer agile cars because I love driving on winding, tight curve roads, and being able to take those curves at 80 mph when the advisory speed is 20 mph is awesome.

I'm not gonna go for the supercars until I'm into my 40s.

I will probably buy a low mile salvaged title truck/SUV/Volvo wagon for daily driver. Then pickup some some late 60s B body Plymouth/Dodge. I love waking up the neighbors on the weekends...the true vroom vroom.

Toyota is the way to go as far as newer cars go. I own a 2003 celica, it replaced my 2005 toyota tacoma. Had to fly out of state to buy the celica, paid $7500 and it only had 50k miles on it. SMOKING deal, i get 30 plus miles to the gallon. I love manuals but automatics are good for when you are lazy.

I never got manuals. I don't see the point. You can buy one that shifts for you. WTF, are these people some sort of 1930s Amish-folk that think that automatic transmissions are the work of the devil? Jesus, if doing some work to move is that big of a deal, get out and walk.

I got at least 7mph better when I drove my manual over the automatic, even more when I did all city driving. Not to mention it's more fun and I'm more involved in driving with an manual.

99 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. Maroon. Sporting a giant penis and ***** picture compliments of an alumni PDCer in the dust on the hood. Hate the car... loved the price, especially after my Explorer exploded about 70 miles from Charleston, Wv. Talk about Deliverance feeling.

I'm going to stick with my Toyota Camry. It runs better than most the cars out there and I drove 10,000 miles with it just last summer. Doesn't eat up gas and doesn't need maintanance all the time. Parts are easy to obtain, etc. Very practical car. Watch out for the newer models, though. They've been having some more issues. 2005 or 2006 is the way to go.

I love my toyota yaris Where else can you get a sedan with power package, with 35-40 (i've gotten as high as 45 on highway) mpg for under 14,000. Not to mention toyota's legendary rep.

'03 Nissan 350z - Its a fun car - although it is slightly on the impractical side. Aside from the window motors dying (on both sides), the car has been great. I am not a big fan of the "mod your car" crowd. The Z is all the car I really need.

After school - I am looking at getting a used BMW or Acura - I really like last years TL (the new one doesn't do it for me). I figure in 2 yrs, the 3 yr off leases will be flowing back into the dealers...

As to the GTR - Skylines were REALLY popular over in Japan - it will be interesting to see what the GTR does here. We dont have the drifting community that they do, so I am not sure it will catch on the same way.

:D I have a 04 350z roadster. I really hate the window motors, I can barely get the passenger side up sometimes. Plus i hate car payments. After school Shelby GT500 FTW.

I have a 1999 Ford Escort. It's kind of old, and my husband makes fun of it, but my parents gave it to me in high school for free. I just recently got 40 mpg driving on the freeway. I was quite surprised because its usually not that high. It may not look that nice, but its at 148,000 miles, and rarely has to go in for repairs.

Because when you have an automatic transmission, you aren't completely in control of the car and its not really driving. Automatic transmission allows *******es to multi-task while driving. With a manual transmission, you have to have use both hands to drive.

That and you can control when the car shifts, thus getting optimal fuel consumption, which doesn't matter to me because I take it as close to red-line as possible.

I like both. Manual is good for enjoying your car, automatic is good for daily driving. However, Id never buy a sports car with an automatic or tippy transmission. Ferrari's F1, Lambo's E-gear, BMW's SMG, all nice and certainly faster than manually shifting, but truly takes away the fun of driving.

My 1st viper had a real heavy clutch and sucked to be in traffic with, but ripping through the gears to triple digits made it all worth it.

Um...yeah. I've driven sticks before. They don't exhilarate me. They annoy me. I still don't get the point. If you're all about "doing work" get out and sprint to work. Then you're in total control.

WVU,

Did you ever mention why you decided to go with the hospital you are at over the USPHS, Bureau of prisons? Big difference in compensation and location options? Just curious.

Tell me then, why don't F1 drivers or any of the European racers use automatic transmission?

They essentially do use automatics.

Ever driven/seen a car with paddle shifters? This came from Formula style driving where shifting is done by pressing buttons. Theres a reason why Ferrari's flagship does not come with a 6-speed manual......the computer can shift far faster than you could ever disengage a clutch and shift to the next gear.

Trying to explain to someone who isnt a car person the importance of manually shifting is a waste of time. Like trying to explain to me what hes pointing at in his avatar pic and what it stands for... WV?- College/sports team? Cool....but not for me and could care less. Different strokes for different folks.

I thought the majority of them used the sequential gearboxes.

Your right, it is a sequential gear box- however, no clutch is used to make shifts and there is no "H pattern" shifter. All shifts are done on the steering wheel usually with paddles operated by the driver.

I prefer to drive a manual. Even in traffic.

I've got a 350Z myself. I think the new Audi S5, or hell even the A5, are such seckz looking cars.

I drive an e46 coupe right now. Lowered on H&R sports, 18" M5 staggered, MTech, etc...

I will probably keep this car after I graduate and turn it into an track/DE car, and I'll buy an e90 or e60 of some type.

Well there we go, that's the difference between me and you, I try to pass as many cars on the road as possible on the way to my destination.

Good to know you are out there keeping the roads safe. I like to take it one step further and see how many cars I can pass with my eyes closed while driving with my knees, I am just a little more hardcore, what can I say...

Yeah....I'd like to see you drive my commute in the dead of winter passing all of those the cars on a two-lane road with semis coming the other direction, going up and down all of those country hills covered in a 1/3" sheet of ice....with a stick. Yeah...we'll see how much you love your precious stick then.

Will love it even more.

Mmmm dodging cars, 4 wheel drive and spiked tires... I think I'm hearing the theme to Spy Hunter. BONUS!

Sparda are you one of the people that walks around " murrrr murrrr murrrr pssssshhh".

No but I do feel a need to walk faster than everyone else.
My girlfriend is the same way. I ,however, like to walk at a leisurely pace. I drive her insane when we hold hands.

I owned a GTI VR6 and it was always in the shop getting something fixed. It was all under warranty but it's a pain to drop off your car and get a loaner.

I just looked at the WRX STI at the Tampa Auto Show. It's got more power and better seats than the regular WRX. They are offering 0% 60 month financing right now, too. But, since I'm changing jobs I'll stick with my RX-8 for now. It's almost paid for.

How are the repair bills...if any right? I know maintenance is covered by BMW for 4 years or so...

I'm so mad...my VW is only 6 years old and it needs about $1000 in repairs! My doorlocks don't pop up, wheel bearings need packing, air thingy with grommet:mad:

I hope BMW, being German also, is a better made car than VW!!

Anyone interested in a 2002 Cabrio??
