as a side note, he has now asked 4 non-white Congresswomen to go back to the country they came from. he has asked a black president for proof he was born in the US. he has yet to ask a white person for proof that they are not American.

Wrong. Outrage over the tweets is the diversion.

The actual point is that a congresswoman, who is suspicious of America, has found common cause with the democrat party.

I don't really blame the media and democrats for grasping at the tweets, this is a terrible situation for the party and it will get worse.

I saw Omar in a video laughing about a professor who "lowered his voice and puffed out his chest" when talking about Al Queda. "No one does that when talking about America! No one does that when talking about the US army", she exasperated.

This is someone who was rescued by America from Somalia.

So get ready to hear that question a lot, do you support Ilhan Omar?

The 4 Congresswomen had been bad mouthing the border agents, lying about children drinking from toilets and being harassed by agents. Trump defending the way the govt runs in our country and tells them to go back to their countries if they dont like it here. How is that racist again? We know you really want it to be racist, but it isnt.

Just so you are clear, when Pelosi says Trump is making America WHITE again, THAT is racist. But Democrats project, so no surprise.

I have no idea who that guy is, but if he is an actual historian then he's a terrible one. Pretty sure all the guys who literally owned black people are more racist than Trump. Or maybe the guy who made the Trail of Tears happen.

Not defending Trump here. You could likely truthfully call him the most racist President of the modern era. But in the history of the country? Not even close.

He chose the four congresswomen because they are the ones squawking. Trump didn't say go back because you are colored, he said go back and fix the political issues there if you think America is worse than where you came from. These four are Anti-American, Anti-Semitic, and Anti-Capitalist and absolutely do not have the best interests of this country in their minds. It's clear in their words and actions to anyone paying attention. lol but that is not what happened or why he said what he said. It was answered above....twice. Trump was defending the country based on their words against the border crisis and agents. Just like Trump defends the country against athletes who dont respect the flag. Trump never brought up skin color. His tweets focused on only one thing: behavior — the appalling behavior of the "squad", their indefensible bigotry, their open hatred of Jews, their unforgivable use of equivalence to compare the American military to al Qaeda and our border enforcement to Nazi concentration camps, their un-American crusade to prioritize illegal immigrants over American citizens and legal immigrants. Trump told the truth. Trump defended America. This is what a president is supposed to do.

as you surely know, the culture was different in the 17 and 1800s. the indian removal act was passed by congress, and signed by Jackson. it wasnt just one guy on a whim who decided to uproot native americans. Washington and jefferson are now on Trump's level? please....

"I think Norco works great for fibromyalgia pain". The evidence is pretty clear that this opinion is wrong.

I don't know in what world that's better than not renting your apartments to black people or telling 4 Congresswomen of various ethnicities to go back home. Meachum along with Doris Kearns Goodwin and David McCullough are recognized as the the most knowledge presidential historians today....it is not a partisan issue.

They tell history, just because you don't agree with narrative doesn't mean they are not the experts in this field.

Outside of your intense hatred for Trump (and for the record I really dislike the guy, I just think going overboard with it does more harm than good), I think you and I share more beliefs that not.

The weird thing with Trump is I actually have no idea what he actually believes about anything. Its entirely possible that everything he says is exactly what he thinks. Its also possible that everything he says is designed to either put him in the center of things and/or piss off his opponents/make his base happy. Given how contradictory so many of his statements are, I have a hard time figuring it out. Lucky for me I live in the south so my vote doesn't matter. I can vote 3rd party with a clear conscience. Unless Biden gets the nod, I could vote for him.

I'm not sure being an "expert" has much bearing on subjective questions like "who's the most racist" or "who's the nicest president of all time".

Historians can still be anti Trump or pro Trump.

I don't follow them except peripherally but I have no doubt Trump makes many more controversial tweets.They lean far left, are critical of parts of the government, critical of Israel, etc. I disagree with some (many?) of their positions (again far left), but to pain them all as anti-American, anti-Semitic, etc reeks of fear-mongering.

Democrats may not be saying those exact words, but they are pretty close. Bernie and AOC definitely want it. How else do they plan to pay for the Green Deal or Medicare for all? Saying to defund ICE and help illegals evade ICE also says open borders for everyone. Which Republican members of Congress are saying those type of things you mentioned? When i say meaningful, i mean members of Congress.

Im not an expert on how government works, but how were the democrats able to pass a resolution in less than a day, but they cant submit a bill to fix the border crisis?

And every single Democrat candidiate at the last debate said they wanted to give health insurance to illegal immigrants.

i thought it was pretty rich and racist for Ms. Talib and/or the squad to say on her CBS interview that everyone should make note of her/their skin color before talking to her/them.

This paragraph in his opinion piece with my corrections says it all......but i know it is just to rile up voters on his side.

"So, I wasn’t surprised to hear so many people expressing fear that the racist(NOT), divisive(NOT), climate-change-denying(NOT), woman-abusing(NOT) jerk(MAYBE... i dont care about his personality, but my friend who met him monday said he was very gracious) who is our president was going to get re-elected, and was even seeing his poll numbers rise. "

Your posts read like they were written by a five year old. I really can't understand the grammar in either of your posts.

If you don't think chanting "send her back" is racist,then there is no point in even discussing this.
