Does anyone care to shed light on how one would go ahead in ranking these two programs? Location does count, right? Since Pittsburgh is no Chicago, but looking at the Cardiology fellowship placement of Pitt compared with that of Rush. Clearly, the former does better. What do you guys think?

I am not from the Pittsburgh but No doubt. Clearly, U Pitt is a much better academic, University program than Rush. The Pitt cardiolgy division is much well known than Rush and their residents do excellent jobs in securing the best cardiology fellowship positions of their top choices. Pitt cardiology has transplant, heart failure, EP, interventional, nuclear, echo programs that are well-known nationally and internationally. Pitt is the second largest city after Phili in PA. The city is very safe and the cost of living is well-below other places like NYC, Boston, and Chicago.
