Cool, happy you ended up getting accepted hereI was also accepted to Howard
Alpha, will you be joining us at NSU in August?Cool, happy you ended up getting accepted here
Still sorting things out financial stuff with my top choice. Im leaning no to going to Nova but it is a possibility. My seat is definitely still up for grabs at this point. Nothing wrong with Nova at all though. Living at home for 2 years would save me ~50 - 60k but I think paying this for my other school would be worth itAlpha, will you be joining us at NSU in August?
Congrats! Did you keep in touch with admissions at all while on the waitlist?Interviewed 10/21, wait listed 12/1, accepted at 2:37 PM today!
I heard from several different people (with no affiliation between each other) that some dentists don't like to hire students graduating from Nova dental school...has anyone else heard this? Is this really true?
I've had nothing short of a great experience other than needing to commute for the past 4 years at Nova. The "prestige" of a school doesn't matter especially when considering how my first cycle went this year.they may correlate its dental school with the undergrad which isn't exactly prestigious, hmm

Still waiting. Interviewed Jan 10 and Waitlisted Feb24. Hmmmm
UH?Texas boy here. I can Officially say that I am moving to Florida for NSU Dental School!
I have no idea. Why
Congrats on your acceptance. Do they start rejecting ppl off the waitlist in May? Or do they string some ppl along till the day classes start? To those waiting, I know exactly how u r feeling right now, but be patient and don't give up. My journey was very long before I was accepted. I interviewed at nova last year, was waitlisted up until May before I was rejected. I asked Dr. Lippman for feed back, rewrote my personal stat, retook my DAT, applied again, interviewed again, waitlisted again, and finally accepted. But trust me once u get accepted, u will forget all about this stressful time.
Plz stay strong and never give up, u will make it eventually.
Hmmm.
There is one, you have to request to join it though!Hey yall, figured id make a SDN account and join the party. I was accepted late last month, with a phone call from Dr. Lippman . My interview date was late January. I'm excited to be moving to Florida from Texas. Graduate of Texas State University. Does anyone know if there is a Facebook group for our class yet?
I appreciate it, for some reason my searches came up with nothing. There is one, you have to request to join it though!

what were your stats and who was your interviewer?
I spoke to upperclassmen about this. They paid the 15k for a Henry Schein tool kit. These tools are theirs to keep for when they graduatewhen do students start working in clinics?
If I am not mistaken, I believe students start seeing patients during third year. I don't understand why the instrument fees is way too high for D1 and D2 years. Also do students purchase instruments or rent them?
Students should anticipate the following approximate expenses.
For Books
For instruments and equipment:
- First year $1,400
- Second year $1,200
- Third year $1,250
- Fourth year $1,200
- First year $14,800
- Second year $12,000
- Third year $7,500
- Fourth year $6,500
No idea. The current students in the Facebook group are more than happy to answer those kinds of questionsfor instruments only for four years = $41,000.
do you know when students start clinic rotations at nova?
I'll be dropping my seat in the Class of 2021 on Monday morning. Good luck to all of you guys in the future and I hope one of you gets my spot! Nova is a great school, the past 4 years as an undergrad were awesome
Columbia! Although slightly more expensive, they are similar in cost apart from higher living expenses. Really hoping you get into Maryland buddy!Where are ya headed instead?

Looks like Boston took me first! I wont be at NOVA
Anyone knows what is the detailed cost of attendance for the 4 years? NOVA's website only indicates the price of tuition for last year, but no indication on potential clinical or management fees...
Does anybody know when they start rejecting people off the waitlist? They're making it hard for me to figure out my living situation for next year...
No I was accepted to Howard & TuftsCongrats! Was this your first acceptance?
