This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Don't worry...Doin decks is time consuming..I take 1 hr to do 20 decks..sometimes even less decks i'm able to do in that time.It looks pretty small n easy..but when u sit to do u'll realize how less we can do..

Sit tight n study..not much of a time anymore..my tension is rocketing at high speed. :scared: Worse is i feel i'm the dumbest of all pppl here.. :D
I start thinking will i even see 80's...
Let's put our effort..all the best yaar

Better start off with the decks..According to many ppl we should be thorough in decks..sd do atleast 3 times they say.
Also when u start reading the decks u'll realize where u've to concentrate more.coz when we r reading frm text and kaplan book.we just read everything not knowing how the questions may be asked, but once u start with decks..u'll realize that.
Hope it helps..b/w did u finish doin all other sub once xept bio n anat[partly]..Did u do DA?

All the best

OK how long do u guys take to do the decks for first time....i guess i am too lousy with them.................

This is to all u guys who are preparing for part1...don't worry about your pace because thats not as important as HOW MUCH YOU REMEMBER.don't even get bothered by the others pace as everyone has their owy way of studying one may grasp in a single time and other may need multiple revisions.its not how many times you study that matters it's HOW WELL.
Get your concepts right...nothing will go wrong.(keeping fingers crossed as i don't want to jinx it ;) :D )
It usually takes a lot of time for the first time(as you are trying to assimilate as much as possible)....as you proceed for the second and third revisions...you'll be surprised at your own pace!!!
go on...good luck

It's quite natural to feel tensed and worried...but don't ever think in the negative way....think positive...no matter what...for all you know there may be questions in the exam from topics you studied real well and then you may hit it off in the 90's...keep your hopes up and face down into the books!!! .....work hard but relax and study.you'll remember more that way.good luck with your preparation.

Hi! everybody
I am preparing for part1 and plan to take it in july this year. Does anyone know about the Dec 2003 exam? they say the paper is available in a downloadable form but I was unable to find it.Can anyone shed some light. I'll be very thankful........

hi gorur

yes i am done with rest of the stuff exept bio and anatomy some of it but i havent done the deck yet and i know its going to take a lot of time

Well last time i studied only kaplan and past papers so this time i am using USMLE step-1 book for phisology, patho, microbiology, and antomy and i used the kaplan book for some topics .Yes i am done with the DA and i went through wellers DA for that, i want to make up for all the mistakes i made last time. I took my part-1 two years a go so i dont remember anything form that time and now i have to put in a lot of time in everyting.

How about u how r u comming along? i am sure u r doing wonderfully

Best of luck

Hey Guys,
good to hear each ones progress...me too doing old question papers, still got DA to go.Whats this board review series...where do you get them? Thanks elementz for your practical advise...will follow that :p ....wonder if this is normal this slow pace...it is taking awhile to finish old question papers...all you guys how did you manage to finish them so fast & how far are you in revision bit?

Board review series for USMLE are published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. In this series physiology and pathology are more popular and widely used for USMLE preparation. These are quiet popular books and you can find them in any library or book stores. Or else you can buy them online here:
