I wasn't asking about WVU, but I think most deadlines are already either over, or because programs review applications as they come in they can already give out all interviews before a deadline has passed.

Probably not before you start the residency, but even if you do residency most states still require that you pass in order to get the full license afterwards.

The LSU Health Shreveport General Practice Residency (GPR) program is a one-year experience in hospital dentistry with Special emphasis in Pediatric dentistry and Oral surgery .

As the sole Dental provider in a large referral based hospital our program is unique in exposing the resident to complex dental cases including pediatric patients .The GPR resident will receive additional hospital exposure through participation in Anesthesiology, Family Medicine, and Emergency Medicine rotations in combination with outpatient operating room dental experience at the Hospital. We also have the opportunity of providing second year spot for qualified residents .

Qualified candidates must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or equivalent from U.S. or Canadian Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited dental school, must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

I also kind of wonder if there is some sort of stigma attached to NYU Langone. Also surprised Georgia School of Orthodontics has so many spots. When I decided where to apply, I looked at all the recent post match lists and if a program was on the post match list every year, to me that raises red flags.

Additionally the residents receive an annual $ 1,000 meal allowance, Health and Welfare Benefits, and a monthly sum of $200 for personal/rent allowance.

The program hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Residents participate in our in-house on call service an average of twice a month. Residents that are on call have the post call day off.

My personal mission statement for grads of our program:

As of now, we have a Non-Match General Practice Residency spot available at West Virginia University for the upcoming 2023-2024 year.
The WVU GPR program is a 1-year program affiliated with the WVU School of Dentistry and Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
We are looking for hard-working individuals to join our team this upcoming 2023-2024 year.

Primary responsibilities will include the following:
1) Every other week block schedule consisting of one week of resident general dentistry clinic with high level of autonomy and the other week consisting of seeing patients in the speciality clinics of OMFS, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics
2) Hospital dentistry operating room cases with OR block time every Friday to treat medically complex patients including frequent full mouth dental rehabs
3) Shared call responsibilities between the two GPR residents every other week for infections and dentoalveolar related issues (call is covered by OMFS residents on the other weeks)

Educational opportunities provided by the program will include:
1) Weekly oral pathology seminar in the fall
2) Didactic course on History and Physical taking in the fall
3) Weekly didactic lectures covering broad scope topics within oral and maxillofacial surgery with the OMFS residents and attendings
4) Two week rotations on internal medicine wards as well as anesthesia

Residents receive a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with a PGY1 resident.
