I am interested in cardiology (not cardiac surgery), and want to know how I can become a cardiologist.

Do you match into cardiology right away? Or do you match into IM and then is cardiology only offered through fellowship? Then that would mean 4+2 yrs? Is there an integrated program? Or do you do 2 yrs of IM then 2 yrs of cardio?

Would you be board certified in both IM and cardiology? AH sorry for so many questions but I'm passionate about the field and I want to find out so much about it. Thanks!

You complete the 3 year internal medicine residency program then go on to do a cardiology fellowship. Applications for the fellowship occur during your 2nd year of IM.
