To Runner, QofQ, and anyone else interested in my wedding fiasco.....one of my bridesmaids has a very ill g-dad and she is flying to Oklahoma today to be with him....I am short one bridesmaid....I'm SO stressed!!! I can't sleep at all!!! I'm trying to find anyone who can fit into her dress!!!! 3 more days!!

Oh wow...Mc, I am so sorry to hear that! Is there anyway, you could go without one bridesmaid? Just remember, nothing usually goes off "w/o a hitch," so if this is the biggest problem, then you're in great shape. Try to get some sleep. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. If we were in school, I'd come over to your place with these movies (see below) and we could make fun of all of these brides and their wedding problems:

Agree. Don't stress the small stuff, McMD. It's ok if you have one less bridesmaid; some people have weddings with none at all. The important thing is that you are marrying a man you love and who loves you, and your family and (most of) your friends are there to share your special day with you. If you can find the time, you might even call your friend with the sick grandfather to see how he (and she) is doing, and let her know that you're thinking about her. If I don't see you around before then, I hope you have a very happy wedding day.

I didn't want to include this in the last post because it felt inappropriate to do so, but I wanted to let you all know that I got in off the waitlist at Duke and that's where I'll be headed in the fall. I still think UM is the shiznit and a good part of me is going to miss what I could have had there- you guys, the beach, Dr. Hinkley's 350Z, my soon-to-be-marriage with unfrozencaveman, and, of course, Red Tide. But I think (I hope) this is the right decision for me, not to mention my boyfriend (one of the evil NC intruders) will be going to UNC med and something tells me that might make things a little easier. I could be wrong, though...there are some good-looking blondes in Chapel Hill.

I will not, however, leave the Florida thread since I love this place. It's the only reason I visit SDN anymore. I hope I'll still get to keep in touch with all of you once school begins, and I know you all are going to kick some serious ass at UM. Feel free to make me jealous whenever you head to the beach after a hard block of exams.

P.S. I really hope they didn't get my name wrong or that this is some cruel joke by the admissions committee. If so, well done, good sir. You got me.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck at Duke. I'm sure you'll rock it at the med school and am glad you got into your top choice. Don't worry there's at least one other person on this thread that is a Floridian going to a non florida school and non UMiami school. So its all good. Mwah!!!!

Whoever fits in the dress is DEFINITELY in on the chocolate fountain, you can even pull up a chair and just sit at the chocolate fountain table!!

I've decided to just go with one less bridesmaid, I don't want to deal with anymore stress. For the exit, one of my bridesmaids will have to walk with 2 groomsmen--we may even have the guys carry her out.

My fiance's family is coming in town tomorrow-I'm really excited because they'll take my mind off the wedding!! Oh Runner, I've made my fiance watch like every wedding movie possible lately....our favorite is definitely Wedding Crashers...we've even welcomed crashers to our wedding as long as they aren't lame and can't get girls. I'll try to keep you guys posted on the happenings of the wedding.

Thanks guys!! I'm going to post pictures on thefacebook within the next couple of days-it was a fairytale!!! I can't count the number of people who told us that our wedding looked like something out of a magazine!!!-it was truly beautiful!! Everything was so perfect-the weather, the bridesmaids, the groomsmen, the location-it all looked so pretty!!! When I got down to the end of the aisle, Nick had tears in his eyes already-we both cried during the entire ceremony-especially when we were saying our vows. He called me all throughout the day when I was getting my hair and make-up done and I had to have my mom and bridesmaids answer the phone since the ladies were doing my hair/make-up and they'd get off the phone with him and tell me they could tell just how nervous he was-he was asking what I was doing each second and just wanted to see me! It was soooo hard not to kiss him when I got to the end of the aisle!! The room we stayed in last night overhung on the intercoastal, there wasn't even land underneath the balcony-just water, it was so pretty!! I will put up pics soon, thanks for everything guys!

I posted a couple of pictures that were taken from my camera on facebook, I'll post more this afternoon and even more in a couple of days when we get the CD's made from the photographer's pictures. We got the photographer's pics back and they look AMAZING!!! I won't have any pics of the ceremony up for a few days since none were taken with my camera! I'll keep you guys posted!
