各位好,我目前还在华西读书,很想要在美国当牙医,我在网路上看过很多关于这方面的讨论,现在还是有很多疑问啊??
似乎在美国当牙医要花很久的时间(金钱就更不用说&#20102,是不是唯有来美国读phd才比较容易申请到dental school呢?可是如果又去唸了program不是又等于拿了一个博士?这方面我一直搞不懂~?因为我没什么兴趣走基础研究
还有nbde是儘早准备比较好吗?我在网路上找到了decks的pdf档..发现中英文考试还是有很大的差异,有在考虑是否要先从国外买first aid或是kaplan先在国内就看熟,大家觉得有这个必要吗?
听说nbde要考很高分(90%以&#19978才比较容易申请到dental school?而且不是很容易申请,是真的吗?如果想要争取早点进入dental school有什么诀窍?
因为我是女孩子,如果说花太多时间好像连婚都不用结了...可是出国是我的梦想啊..

这边博士毕业， 原来国内医学院毕业的，小科， usmle无法报名， 想重新读书回到临床。考虑到MD 要做住院医，做实验多年的手还不是很笨，决定走DSS 这条路了。 DAT 已经考完了，正在联系见习。希望与志同道和着多交流。

That's because you at least thought you were related to "Chinese Dentist".

Do not involve politics in SDN. We are not politicians but dentists. If you feel shamful to be a Chinese, just leave this thread and open a new post of Taiwanese dentist.

It is bad that China doesn't have enough democracy and therefore doesn't get well recognized by the world. We need to work on changing it.

It is worse that Taiwan has so-called democracy and money-related recognization by tiny African or Mid-Amrican countries. You need to work on that too.

Not try to offend Taiwanese. I love Taiwan because my uncle and his 7 children are living there. You can deny The People Republic of China but do not deny that we all are Chinese. We need work together to get Chinese people being respected by all the world.

我是今年国内硕士毕业，专业口腔正畸，我老公现在在美国工作，我也想在这边发展发展，只是不知道路子,真的想好好请教各位前辈。因为不喜欢实验室的工作，所以想过考牙医执照，或者想上个博之类的，不知道上不上博对以后行医有什么影响？真得很迷茫，哪位热心人能指点迷津，先谢了！

最近才看到这个帖子 我在美国念的大学，dental school, 即将开始orthodontic residency. 我认识一些foreign trained dentist, 大部分都是阿三 大概知道一点。就我知道的，在国内读博是没有什么帮助。在美国要拿执照，除了要考nbde I and II, clinical exam (NERB, WRED etc.) 还要有credential.
个人认为最好的是，申请dental school的 international advance standing program，一般是2-3年，出来之后有美国的dds/dmd。这是全美都承认的。
还有一个办法是，申请aegd (advanced education in general dentistry).很多学校都有，不是很难申请 （相比较 advanced standing). 不过有些州承认，有些不承认。大家具体要看看你想要去的那个州的dental board.

还有specialty的问题。一定要有了general dentistry 执照 才可以谈specialty. 据我所知，国外念的specialty,美国都是不承认的。一定要在美国念specialty residency. NYU 听说有 international orthodontic residency. 可是，出来以后美国的 orthodontic board,是不会承认你是orthodontist (specialist). 所以要注意。
