As you lift the box to throw it out, you notice there are air holes punched in the side of it. How strange. You stare at it, unsure of what might be in the box, when a tiny paw pokes out of a hole and flails wildly at you. The toe beans are very pink. You hear a soft mew and the pitter-patter of more little feet.

@PippyPony i don’t want to clog the game thread but is there no evidence for any kind of analgesia from gabapentin, or just none for general analgesia? I’ve never seen it prescribed on its own for pain relief, but we gave it (11-12 mg/kg for mammals and birds, iirc) as an adjunct to meloxicam and tramadol when nerve pain was suspected (e.g. from a fracture).

It may help as an adjunct for neuropathic pain, but still kind of equivocal. Zero evidence for it being a sole agent.

Edited because I realized this is probably too close to medical advice. In lieu of that, I'd recommend prescribers check the literature about dosing intervals.

This isn't an accurate description of what was happening. I was trying to find the discrepancy. I acknowledged things were amiss. For the record it was my being dyslexic with one of the numbers. I had it sort of backwards. Numbers is villains.
