Hello everyone
I have searched for UPENN 2013 cycle, but no one posted anything about it.
I know im late to apply to this school. Im planning to complete supplemental application, but didnt understand about the no of hours and dates we have to mention.
DO anyone remember all these?

I didn't remember the no of hours and days as well. I know that u r applying little late but if u have a great application, don't worry.

hey i m applying to upenn too...but m in d same boat as urs...dun remember all d dates n hours n m applying pretty late...so m going to jus giv it a shot as i think i have pretty gud stats at my application...

Yes you have to mention the number of hours you spent for the particular activity /volunteering work.. and also should include the time period..( for instance Jan 2011 to march 2011) its very good if you remember the exact dates as well, else you can just mention the month & year alone..
the last date for submission is Aug 15th.. hurry up...
 
Hi guys my stats are part 1: 86 toefl 101
gpa: 3.28 2 years work experience in my home town

2 international presentations. Do you think I have any chance for IV call according to your experience

and u mentioned in some posts dat ur planning to apply for some specialised programs
can u share some info about dat

Not very sure.. but they mentioned in their Appl complete letter ,that they will start sending invitations to the prospective students from early August.. interviews will be conducted from Sept.. Hope this helps.. But they did mention its a roll on admission..

Once again I don't know how is it going to be this year but last year they sent out letters (regular mail, I received mine on August 22nd), and you had to call them to schedule your interview. IV's last year were on Tuesdays only and when I called them to schedule mine the earliest date they had was early October.

my stats are -
ECE - 4.00
TOEFL - 111
NBDE part 1 - 92
NBDE part 2 - PASS (jus got my results today :) :))
only 4 months of work experience back home and 5 months of observership in USA

no m not an orthodontist. was looking to try getting into an ortho program but unfortunately the florida state rules for dental license made it mandatory this march onwards to have a DDS/DMD.
 
i got d dates for most of my activities but in some i cannot specify the hours...so i ll jus go wid it...hope for the best...
 
hey i received a university brochure from upenn today through mail...did nebody else receive it as wellor was it because i hadnt sent my supplemental application yet while the CAAPID application had been submitted about a week ago....
 
I also recieved Univ Brochure yesterday, though I recieved application complete email 2 weeks ago......
Are they sending it to all ?

i think they sent brochure to everybody, i received from upenn the brochure and a list w/ missing documents soon after they received caapid

my dean has not yet submitted my LOE in caapid, do you think I should ask him to mail it.
 
your dean is sign up for electronic submission?because if he is and you ask him to send it by regular mail the bare code will not be the same so the loe cannot be taken into consideration

no....i din recv ne application complete mail but i did recv dat checklist letter asking fr required documents....3-4 days after caapid frward ma application....to Upenn..
 
I have send my Caapid application 2 weeks back and ll send my Upenn suppliment on monday. I know I m late. I applied to other schools also but just before the deadline :'(

Well, what you think about the admission criteria, do they look for high NBDE GPA TOEFL?

AmT, I think when you are applying within the application cycle, it really doesn't matter whether you've applied 1month ago or just one day before deadline. Your application will be reviewd by the committee.
This is just my opinion.

the ECE 3.87 & WES 3.47 means GPA modified by them? could I know the original gpa?

They both r 2 diff organizations who giv gpa on diff criteria. soo the gpa for me is diff
the gpa i hav given r the original onez

I think its easier for them to upload electronically than to mail a copy to you or CAAPID:rolleyes:

JUST CAL HIM DAILY R DO SOMETHING TO REMIND ABT YOUR LOR.
TELL HIM THAT UL BE WASTING A YEAR IF HE DOESNT SUBMIT THE LOR...

I hav submitted caapid and supplimental last week...
I jus wanna wait for a week before calling them and finding out abt my application
I think they need some time to process our applications right...
I dont want to hurry them...wanna give them some time
they r receiving soo many applications right now and if we keep calling them it might delay processing the applications...jus take some time and then cal them ....
They r soo kind to answer you

Anyone heard from penn? I think they might start mailing IVs next week.
 
Guys a little confirmation needed here. If we are done with part-1 and 2, do we have to report it separately from ADA? or if we just order part-2, both are reported?
 
The score report has both part 1 and 2. Also has all your previous attempts with scores (if applicable)
 
Has anyone actually called UPenn to find out when they will send the invites? I'm getting pains waiting at my mailbox everyday.

I agree cause I experience the same!!! We could wait till early next week I presume. Although I have not come across anything on the website which says when they would start sending IVs
