Spoke to 2 programs who said they are still finishing up the dates to schedule interviews so there should still be hope for most of us.

I believe they suspended that rule after they announced the merger. That proposed ruling is what caused the AOA to go to the negotiation table.

Was told the same at my interviews so far -- that the quality of applicants is very high this year and they were amazed. Some are going on way more than they need to (one applicant I met is going to >20....) so maybe the programs don't realize that?

Still waiting to hear back from them in general lol. I think the coordinators can take up to 3-4 days sometimes. Often they are managing multiple departments to schedule interviews so could be busy.
