Just got an email reminding me that I am complete and still pending a decision. Anyone else receive it too?
Yes, I did. Good to know they are still thinking of us!Just got an email reminding me that I am complete and still pending a decision. Anyone else receive it too?

I know. I am not sure what to think, really. I have been studying for the MCAT again and preparing for another round of applying either way. It is too late to find out a denial in April and be a good candidate for June 1st without doing SOMETHING. Hoping it works out; who knows! Trying to stay positive! One can only hope... This late in the game it feels strange knowing that there are waitlisters, and then there are us
Hey all, I got the email for the April 12th open house this morning and it says you're able to "check up on your application". Do you think they'll disclose wait list position?
My email just said about open house not checking on my application... Weird??
I think it is stated in the PDF flier.
Yeah you have to click on the attachment and read the flier
I did and there is nothing saying that. It says the anatomy of MSUCOM.. Maybe I didn't get what u got
Complete : 12/28/12
Waitlisted: 01/17/13
Accepted: 03/12/13
If I don't hear anything by April I think I'm still gonna try to call admissions and ask for my position on the wait list... I have to make a decision on a current lease pretty soon
I'm in the same boat as you.. That's my decision too
Ok cool. I'm glad I'm not alone!
I feel the same way.
Anything?!?!One can only hope... This late in the game it feels strange knowing that there are waitlisters, and then there are us
Hey guys! I'm a nontraditional hoping to go to MSUCOM, and I'm applying this June. this school!
My GPA: 3.76c, 3.86s, and 3.96g; IS (hoping for Detroit campus); 20,000+ clinical work hours as medic, mental health tech, and nurse; at least 5,000 volunteer hours, minimal research (one semester) and shadowing (but work side-by-side and collaborate with physicians at work)
I'm taking the MCAT July 26, and I was wondering what the minimum MCAT you guys think that I would need to have a fighting chance? The MCAT is what I'm most afraid of.
I can't wait until this cycle when I'll be part of the game. I've been watching MSUCOM's application thread over the last two years. Congrats to all accepted and hang in there to all on the waitlist.
Can she submit without an MCAT score? Because that would be my recommendation if you can. I submitted at the end of August and it took them a month+ to verify my app before even sending it to MSU. Also, make sure you have two people that are willing to fill out your recommendation forms as soon as you get them. With COM the earlier you complete your secondaries the better chance you have.

Yeah sorry I didnt put that. Thats what I meant though. submit everything and then update the MCAT score as soon as you get it.
Also if at all possible, get one of your recommendations from an MSUCOM alum. Makes a huge difference IMO.
Is it worth it for an Illinois resident to apply here? Or is MSU heavily in-state biased?
Canadian, deferred my acceptance. Hopefully another Canadian on here gets my spot for this years class!
When does MSUCOM classes start?
First day is June 17th. Orientations are June 12th & 13th and the white coat ceremony is June 14th.
Does anyone know where we're supposed to park for the Open House on Friday? Is it just where we had parked for campus tour?
Went to the open house and it was great! Except that they are still not revealing anything about the wait list positions... Guess it's on until June.
