Now that ERAS season is coming up in couple months, I'm trying to decide which programs to apply to. How do I know which ones are safety programs to include in my application?
I am looking into university programs, no geographic preferences, did reasonably well on step 1 (240+), and honored surgery rotation (AOA not decided by school yet, but probably won't get it). Few publications from before med school, one poster presentation at a national meeting in med school.
Which programs should I look into? I feel like U.S. news ranking doesn't say much about the actual training of the program and no states schools seem like a "safety" school. Any thoughts?
