I know my gre is very low so I opted to apply to schools that do not require the gre, have no minimum or require a low minimum. Please let me know my chances of getting into these schools and if anyone has heard from these schools if they applied.

Hey! I applied to University of the Sciences as well, have you heard from them at all?

I haven't! And I applied 9/15 and they received it 9/24

I think they start notifying in November if you submitted early (like by end of August). Otherwise, I think you're supposed to hear back in January?

Is anyone else feeling a little worried that some people are already hearing back from schools when other's are still actively applying to schools! I feel like I dropped the ball on my apps and am too late to apply!
Depends on the school. Some have rolling admissions, meaning they interview & accept students before the deadline. They accept students as they come. So they can have a full class before the deadline. In this case, you wanna apply asap. Like...the first few weeks it opens. But some schools have January and May start dates. Those people will get accepted much earlier than your normal August start dates.

From what they just told me from admissions, they are getting together at the end of this week to look at the next batch of applicants. Hopefully we're in that batch!

For everyone that applied to Boston University early admissions: Does everyone that applied get invited via email to complete the supplemental application, or is that just for prospective interview candidates?

When did you happen to send in your app for Usciences?

Impatiently waiting to hear back from any of these schools.... I have a feeling it won't be until March.

Does anyone know if there is a way to choose which recommendations on OTCAS go to which schools? I listed 4 people as recommendations (one professor, one OT, one work supervisor, and one department head of my employment). For schools that don't require one recommendation to come from an OT, I'd like to use the department head's recommendation instead of the OT. How do I do this on OTCAS?

So from what I understand, all the letters submitted to OTCAS will automatically go to each school you apply to. This means that there's really no way to "decide" which letters go where. If you have a school that requires less than what you send in (like they require only 1 letter from an OT, but you had two OTs write you a LOR for OTCAS), then they will just choose one at random. Hope that helped!

I'm starting to worry that I should have applied to more schools! I'm thinking about adding a few others that have later application deadlines and are less competitive. Any suggestions?

With these stats, if you've got good LOR and a good PS, your chances of getting into any school seem likely. Apply wherever you please lol

Super nervous and wondering if I should apply to any more schools...let me know if you have any suggestions!

Good luck and I'll see you at BU! Is that your number one choice? What time did you select for interviewing? I'm jealous you don't have to travel very far!

Thanks so much, you too! :) I heard it's casual and nothing to worry about if that helps. I actually live in CT so it's a bit of a drive but not too bad at all. BU is among my top choices...really my main 3 are MGH, Tufts, and BU because I just want to be back in Boston and still have to learn more about the programs/financials - apparently Tufts gives good scholarships so that could be a big factor, but we'll see where I even get in! How about you, and how far away will you be coming from?

I’m coming in from Richmond! And that’s good! BU is definitely my #1 choice, although I did love a school I looked at in Philly recently! My interview is at 1:00!

LOL! I almost chose 1 for simplicity but it was full :) wow, that's far! Good for you for making the trip. I think with the tour and info sessions it will be worth it for you, especially if it's your top choice :)

Does anyone know anything about BU's virtual interviews? I am from Ohio and have an interview the day after, so I just signed up to do a virtual one. I'm just not exactly sure how they work.

Hi, I am also applying to Nova Southeastern. I am currently working on the additional application question (Please describe your career as a doctoral level OT in 5 years from now), but I don't see any guidelines for it. How long was yours? Did you write a 5 paragraph essay or did you just write a thorough paragraph?

I applied to 3 of these as well and am anxious to hear back :) Shenandoah emailed me today saying everything is complete and decisions will be made in December.
Chatham started sending out invites yesterday and will continue to do so until Nov. 20th or the day before interview (Dec.2) if anyone drops.
Ohio State should be sending out invites this month I believe.

Hi Guys! I have noticed that a lot of people have already heard back from MidWestern Glendale! I have yet to apply but I was hoping to get my application in soon! I was wondering if this would be silly because they seem to already be filling up their slots and I don't want to waste money if there is no chance! I would love your input!
