It was a very laid back interview! It was more like a conversation than an interview. The faculty explained their vision for the program and we were given a tour. Let me know if you have any more questions!

So glad to be done with the application cycle! Best of luck to all else out there!

Btw a little pro tip that helped me: get a job at an airline before you apply to PT school. Pretty much every airline lets you fly for free on any of their flights (space permitting, of course) and then you can visit or interview at your schools for next to nothing. I work for Delta and my RMU interview cost $80 total

Congrats! I would practice at your campus career center or get a friend to sit down with you and ask you general PT school interview questions (can be easily searched online). I had a friend sit down with me and ask me questions and that really helped me say all the thoughts I’ve had on questions out loud to someone.

Congrats! Do you happen to know if Washington U in STL accepts students on a rolling basis? I noticed their application deadline isn't until February...

Thanks! My understanding is that they do it more or less rolling. I received an email in early September that my "review date" would be October 10th and then I got the call at night on Tuesday.

Good luck at your RFU interview!! I really enjoyed their MMI formatted interview!

Does anyone have any idea how PTCAS deals with letters of recommendations and verification of hours that haven't been verified? I applied late September but one out of the four people never did my letter and one out of three places never verified my hours (it was only 12 so not a big deal). Will they wait until they get completed to actually send my application to the schools I paid for or will the schools just be able to see my application and not see the things that aren't verified?

The MMI format was great for me. I did not receive a lot of feedback while in the interview, but felt pretty confident about my responses. Best of luck! :)

Hi, did you apply to the University of North Georgia? I have an interview there in two weeks, and I was wondering what it's like!

I decided not to. Just was running short on time to finish essays and chose a different app to focus on. Good luck!!

University: The Pennsylvania State University

LOR: 3 PT's, 1 Professor

Has anyone been accepted with stats like these? I know my GPA is low, counting the last 6 semesters only its a 3.8, but Freshman year was rough as an engineer. I know my essays are really good because my mom is an English Professor and read all of them and said they were great. I'm afraid they won't look past my GPA though. I applied to some smaller schools like Wingate, but also applied to UNC and USC (South Carolina). I was also going to apply to some private schools in PA. Is there any hope for me? I wrote a pretty nice essay about how Engineering impacted my GPA as well in the section for an explanation of why my GPA does not reflect my academic potential as well.

When did you interview/hear back from Drexel??

I'm afraid they won't look past my GPA though. I applied to some smaller schools like Wingate, but also applied to UNC and USC (South Carolina).

I wouldn't worry about it. Your GRE is strong. I'd rather have good GRE scores and an average GPA from a good school than average GRE scores and a high GPA from an easier undergrad. Your GREs are above the average at most schools.

UNC and USC might be tough because of the smaller class sizes and OOS acceptance rate (assuming you're a PA resident). Plus, OOS tuition at UNC is ridiculous. I'd look into some of the private schools just because there are more slots available.
