Here is the question.
VPC ( ventricular premature beats ) and Atrial premature beats are very common even in the very healthy young individuals
( ~ 50- 60 % ) and doesn't require medical attention unless they are too frequent- we discussed this in a previous thread. Is it true that these are higher in prevelance in hyperadrenergic
( or less parasympathetic ) status ??
I was under the impression that overall all the tachyarrhythmias are more common during symathetic activation but could it be the local cardiac cells that are more easily stimulated because of local injury (Eg : post MI etc) and the result of this is tachycardia which appears like a sympathetic response.
