I'm also currently enrolled in the BU program. I'm one of the lucky few who got accepted to med school during the first year, but they made it very clear that they wanted me to finish the program and not just take the year off. So I'll be starting med school back in NJ in the fall.
As far as the program goes, it's an excellent program as far as preparing you for medical school. The amount that I have learned in the short time I've been here is astounding. I personally slacked off a decent amount in college (regretfully) but this program whips you into shape immediately. It forces you to engage fully in the courses at all times. There is definitely no way that youre going to breeze through any of the courses.
However, at the same time, the quality of the professors is amazing. Every single one of them is more than willing to meet with you privately if you need help. And i would say 90% of the advisors sit on the BU med school admissions committee and totally help you with the whole application process and pick your courses.
I've seen so many people writing and asking what the med school acceptance rates were for various post-bacc programs. It's nonsense. If you come to this program, take it serious and work your butt off, you will get into med school. But remember, this is not undergrad, its a lot harder but, it will get you totally ready for med school, and also undoubtedly improve your MCAT score after taking the classes.
