Wondering what yall think about "outsourcing" medicine to India, Australia, and the like using methods such as teleconferencing?
Interesting article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6621014/
Apparently this is a sector of healthcare that has been picking up over the past few years. It seems like a valuable tool to help alleviate departmental shortfalls in U.S. hospitals, but the mere fact that these U.S. oversight committees recognize Indian M.D. degrees as subpar frustrates me.
Even though the Indian doctors that train in the U.S. and go to India make less money, the lifestyle in India seems more appealing (at least to me).
Thought this would get a discussion going,
But it's finals time, so no worries if it doesn't.
Best,
Pagal
