If one was to get an interview invite at this point, would you consider it as you getting an invite just because alot of the people they originally intended on interviewing cancelled on them and they now have some more open spaces or because they may actually be interested in you?

I think if you want to interview there you should. Remember those that interview last are usually ranked higher because you are fresh in the mind.
