I'm so awesome, I am totally going to rock all the ophtho programs I interview at, which is like every program out there. I am sooo good.

lots of programs on here that i applied to and haven't heard from. so far, i only know that i got bounced by wilmer and meei.

given the bad track record of sfmatch, i considered the possibility that some programs may have not received my app, although this is probably unlikely.

is it too early for me to worry about contacting programs? or do people know if most programs offer interviews on a rolling basis and/or in batches? or just wait a long time to send out rejections?

my application was processed over a week after target date. probabaly around 9/15.

I think it's probably unlikely, as u said, that a lot of programs did not get your app if you know certain places did get it. Did you also get confirmation emails from a few programs? That said, I don't think there is any harm in emailing the coordinators at some of your favorite programs to ask about your application status or at least if interviews are still being offered.

The impression that I'm getting is most programs are doing a rolling invitation based on their higher choices cancelling interviews. Ths means people can be getting interviews pretty late in the game without any choice about when to interview.

Also, in my opinion, I don't think you need to worry too much about having sent in your application a little late because only a few programs seemed to be reviewing applications that early.

i got a receipt of application from umich, didn't apply to other schools that sent out notification of receipt, as far as i know.

best of luck to all in interviews and in maintaining sanity during the process, i am not sure if i am the only one, but i am starting to struggle with the latter. hope everyone has a nice weekend.:thumbup::):thumbup:

SUNY Upstate is still giving out interviews....only the 11/13 date is available
Also, I just talked to UC Davis. They will be sending out invites and rejections next week.

When contacting programs--will you be calling the program coordinator or emailing them? Just to be clear this is the program COORDINATOR not the program DIRECTOR right?

I was wondering the same thing, so I asked the BP coordinator several weeks ago, and she said they're not doing the autobio sketch this year.
