There have been multiple offers on this thread to compensate others for changing interview dates. I hope that the intentions of these offers are with regard to reimbursements for expenses incurred from changing a plane or train ticket and not related to direct compensation for a "favor." I find the latter to be very inappropriate.

For those of you offering compensation, I ask you to be a little more clear in your intentions, or otherwise, to think harder about the nature of your request.

man, get over it. Even if the intention is to motivate someone to switch for nothing more than financial reasons this doesnt hurt anyone...it gets both people an interview date they wish for and some bonus to make it worth the effort of the switch. You must be one of those people that cant even laugh a a joke made about you (no matter how harmless)

It hurts the person who is on the waiting list waiting for a date. Be careful, these boards are monitored by programs. If I was still active in a program, I would pull any interview offer from both parties if there were signs that a slot was "sold."

:laugh: rejected by Duke. As if the fact that their last interview date was last week did not tip me (or the gazillion other people on the email) off.
 
A facebook group has been created by someone. You can join and keep in touch with other applicants that you met along the trail.

You can search for the group "Ophthalmology Residents Starting in 2011"
 
Can you post a link? I tried searching and I could not find it.

Thanks superstar Favre (He is this year isn't he?). And so are you judging by your interviews and insightful commentary about such things as Jules Stein vs Doheny (which was extremely helpful!).

I am ******ed and read that it was a group and missed the word "facebook" and searched on SDN for that group because I would really like to reconnect with some people I met on the trail.
