Right now I am working 12 hr shifts, 1900 to 0700. I work Thurs, Fri, Sat, and every other Sun. At the company I started out as an EMT-B I worked 24/48's, 0630-0630. When I went to the Fire department I worked 12 hr shifts, 6-6. These shifts were varied and I tried to work one or two night shifts during the week and then a 24 hr shift during the weekend.

24/48's 0800-0800 although I started off working 12's 0700-1900 Wed, Thu, Fri

1000-2000 on Friday
0530-1330 on Saturday
0900-1700 on Sunday

Caveat: I routinely pull doubles and work more than 40 hrs on a weekend.

Modified Kelly-shift schedule. I like it, but I really wish we would goto the 48/96 schedule because I have to drive 40 miles each way to and from work, and the cost in gas is getting pretty bad!

Nate.

I work per diem, so by our departmental rules, I can't be scheduled for more than 3 shifts per week (but I can pick up more shifts if others call out) -- this is fine with me, though, as I also have school to worry about. The work schedule depends on what availability I give them, but the shifts are 8 hour shifts like so:

0700-1500
1500-2300
2300-0700

an 8 and two 16s every week, 4 days off.

1415-0415 Monday - Wednesday

right now I work 6AM-6PM on Saturday at a municipal agency, and on Sunday I work 8AM-6PM at a private ambulance. When I'm done with my classes for the summer it'll change.

Oh, how I can't wait for the easy schedule of med school.
