I'm currently working as a busboy/bouncer at a local restaurant/bar in my college town. I've mentioned this at 1-2 med school interviews now, and I was wondering whether this would help or hurt my application? I still have plenty of research and hospital work experience, so it isn't like I'm using this as an excuse for lack of work in other areas. I'm honestly just trying to earn some money to buy a car. Should I hide this job from future interviews, or is it okay to mention to help committees have better understanding of how busy my schedule is? I'd like to add that this hasn't hurt my grades either.
Any employment is good, especially one in a service profession!

I strongly believe that a year's employment should be a pre-req for med school.

As a teaching moment, not everything you do has to be 100% related to Medicine.
