Why did you choose podiatry as a profession?

Hey, this may be a similar post to the podiatry vs. dental/medicine posts, but I was curious why other people have chosen podiatry as the profession of choice. Good experiences shadowing, a mentor, recommendation by school, family member, or just like feet?
