Why are DOs never portrayed on TV?

DOs have full medical practice rights in Canada
For the longest time we had licensing issues in Quebec I believe, but it's good to see that was sorted out.

Though unfortunately US DO graduates are now considered IMGs to the Canadian matching service when they used to be considered Canadian Medical Graduates (like US MD students are). Kind of a sucky backwards step. Especially hurts since my schools has so many Canadian students who were hoping to return home for residency.

And I said they didn't? although they actually don't if they did an AOA residency....

But besides that side tangent.....that doesn't mean the vast majority of people have zero clue what a DO is. Makes for bad tv and less $$ when a whole country of viewers doesn't think it's doctors operating on people.
