what is residency and rotation

Hi, I saw a lot of discussion here about residency and rotation. Can anyone explain what are they?

Rotations are part of the pharmacy curriculum to get your PharmD. They are the experiential part of your education.
Residency is a post-graduate training option that is currently not required in order to practice.
