Hey everyone! I need advice on retaking MCAT or moving forward with applying with current stats and info below as well as editing my school list. What would you do in my situation?
Background: WV Resident, low-income household, first-gen, ORM (Fil-Am), interest in DO/family medicine/PCP care
DO:
-ATSU-SOMA
-VCOM: all 4
-KCOM
-LECOM (Erie)
-RVUCOM: 2
-OSU-COM
-PNWU-COM
-BCOM
-PCOM: South GA, GA, Philly
-Rowan-Virtua
-UNECOM
-WVSOM (#1 priority)
-University of Incarnate Word
-LMU-DCOM
MD:
-WVU SoM
-JCESOM
Final Thoughts:
My goal is to apply this cycle no later than mid-July, no matter what, with the intent of adding more shadowing prior to submission. I have compelling personal statement details and generally give a stellar interview. Obviously, my MCAT scores are my largest setbacks. Do you all recommend retaking MCAT or applying this cycle anyway with current stats/info? And what schools would you add or remove from my list?
