Waitlist advice

I’m needing some guidance on my waitlist situation - I’ve been waitlisted by my top 2 schools and am wondering if I should reach out to see what I could improve on/weak areas of mine? I don’t know how to determine if this is frowned upon or if it could possibly work to my advantage at all?

Sure, you can try to contact the schools and ask what you can improve and what is the best way to inform them about your improvements. It may or may not help you, but definitely will not hurt.
