The interview is not about grade. There are many reasons for adcom to pick a person over another one, and grade is only part of it. After the interview, they need to get together and put the whole picture about the potential candidate. I believe a whole committee making decision is better than just 2 interviewers.
I hope that you are right she is joking, but it does not sound like it to me.
Well, I mean what I said
in a way, but not to gratify myself, and if you had followed my posts you'd know this--most of the regular posters as of late (and who responded to your post) know I'm an alternate and haven't had my interview yet I was sympathizing with those who are waiting to hear back about their interview from recent days, and even those in the past, for what apparently seems to be essentially 'a given' based on what we've heard in this forum. The general consensus is that UF does not invite one to interview for an 'actual spot' unless they are committed to accepting that applicant.
For the record, there is a very good reason the Adcom has put me on the alternate list rather than offered me a spot--I've made mistakes! Old mistakes, but mistakes nevertheless. There are many young people, most likely yourself included, that have earned admittance by being solid all throughout your academic career (and most likely now as well, as a pharmacy student) And for the record, the 4.0 in my master's is, actually, a very small part of what makes me competitive, and yet is most likely my saving grace.
Howard, obviously Litetigre hasn't been reading your posts...
Jax, Fenderbiz, thanks guys
So Tink...did you decline your spot? Jax asked too, but I noticed you put your GA acceptance back up. I am definitely interviewing for the alternate list, because that's what my email stated and what I accepted.
