I was searching for eye surgery videos and I came accross this. http://www.lasikathome.com/foureasysteps.htm At first it sounded like a joke. Now im not so sure, it may be legit.

By the way does anyone know any sites that have surgery to view (Phacoemulsification, trabeculoplasty, trabeculectomy, photocoagulation, exc). I realize that this is the pre-optometry and not pre-opthamology but there isnt an opthamology forum.

Check out the thread on the Optometry Fourm under "You Have to See it to Believe it." The product is NOT real. The following link http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/weblog/permalink/lasik_at_home/ the Museum of Hoaxes "confirms" that the product isn't real. If you notice, you can't actually order it! As far as surgery sites, I know there are a few out there, but I don't know what they cover. There actually is a Ophthamology Forum on SDN... go to the SDN home page and find Student Forums. Scroll all the way down to Graduate Medicale Forums (MD/DO) and you can find the OMD forum. They might be able to recommend surgery sites for you.

That's funny because my fiance just sent the same link to Lasik@Home to me, along with this website also stating it's a joke website:

I like the goofy look on that "doctor's" face!

It came out on April 1 of this year as an April Fools joke.
