Kushwant Singh is hated by the sikh community? I've never heard that.

Khushwant singh is not liked by Sikhs, it is a fact.

I've read a couple of his comuns and and part of one book on sikh histroy and was impressed. He should be an important Sikh.

I don't know what impressed U. But try to read articles of some other great sikh authors or SGPC's on the same topic of Khushwant Singh U have read and then U'll know the difference.

I remember reading one hymn which used a woman coming home or such as the different months and possible seasons. I haven't heard it

BTW the hymn which u were talking about is from the title "BARAMAH"
in which our Guru's give the message of god by giving examples of the seasons.
