Maybe you should contact admissions because there are specific times pharmcas accepts additional transcripts in the fall and spring.

I reached the admission office yesterday and was told not to since I don't have new grade(s) to upgrade.
 
For those of you that have taken biochemistry and molecular biology, please what topics/headings should I concentrate on ; I am studying at home.

I was told frm a student they teach the biochem we would need to know. But if anyone knows it would be good to get familiar beforehand.

Wow, I missed a lot. Someone thought that I work for Roseman? I wish! Assistant Professor would be a great side job, haha. :p

My updates: I'm moving this week up to northern Utah. I was hired at a nearby hospital to work as a pharmacy intern. I have been working as a pharmacy intern in retail pharmacy since I applied for my intern license last October. I am ready for a change!

We (husband and I) found a new 2 bedroom apartment that met our needs for $1200/month in American Fork. Rent is pricey, but we are cutting back on our other monthly bills and will both continue working. My SO is considering taking online courses to get his CS degree while I go to Roseman and I am hoping he does! I would love for both of us to have great careers when we're done. I am currently planning on pursuing PGY1 and most likely PGY2 after Roseman. Super excited for the future! I miss school <3 (have been working since I was accepted into the program last year.)

On another note: Can anyone tell me how they would sell their school-issued iPad in order to upgrade it to an iPad Pro?

So we can apply for our intern license even before we start the program? I thought we had to wait until we start the program.

Me too. Don’t we need a note from the dean saying we’re “enrolled,” not just “accepted” ???

I was told we do the paperwork for the interning license during orientation week. If someone knows something I dont please share.

Has anyone been checking their CORE ELMS message center cause I receive an e-mail for an Intern position (Smith) from Roseman. So I guess we can apply and do an internship ahead of time like Pharmachemis_ss. Eh I don't know.

I assumed that intern position wasnt for incoming students bc we dont do the paperwork for the interning license until orientation week. You can check w/ pharmacy admissions to get accurate info though...

Ive only been on the core site to add my immunizations for now... the next “to do” things dont open until July. I dont see how we can intern as Roseman students when we havent gone through orientation.

For everyone wondering,

I have my intern license. I applied for it the week after I was accepted into school since I was already working full time as a technician and wanted to promote ASAP. I reached out to Roseman and they had requirements before they would sign the paperwork. I met the criteria and proceeded through DOPL to receive my license. I have been working as an intern since November. I applied as an incoming P1 intern with Intermountain, interviewed, and now I will be working there. Utah and Nevada have different rules on pharmacy interns. Utah allows interns to begin work prior to school if the criteria are met. I was in a hurry to become an intern after I found this out a couple years back. I hope that clears that all up!

Aaaarrrrggggg. I'm still on the waitlist. Now I'm worried. I just finished biochemistry and am in a summer Calc-1 class to finish everything. My gpa was a 2.5 when i got my biology degree in '12, but i finished with a strong upward trend in my undergrad upper divisions. My postbac and academic forgiveness courses are mostly As and Bs. I feel well prepared. But i guess it doesn't show.

Did they reach out to you, and tell you that you are still wait listed?

Yes. I spoke with Dr. Park before spring semester ended and was told to keep her updated as far as grades. I sent my transcripts to the team, but they are still "being received " by PharmCas. I was told that I'm waitlisted because of my grades, which are not necessarily bad.
I'm just nervous at this point. Also, besides upper division Chemistry classes, I don't know what to take if i don't get in.

I live in apartments in 7hills area near Green Valley Ranch Casino. It seems like 1bdrms around here start at 1000. 1200 for 2 bdrm. The area is great to live in.

Hi all,

I interveiwed at Roseman on May 16th and still havent heard back from them. Approximately how long did it take to receive an email on what the status was? I'm anxious and worried... :(

I did early decision and it was exactly 2 weeks. They told us when we interviewed (henderson campus) that it would be 10-14 days.

Oh I see. They said on the ppt when I went to Henderson for the interview it would take 2-4 weeks and it has been 3 wks now. I hope to hear back soon from them.

I know it’s invaluable experience, but we don’t even know if we could handle it yet with the course load.
I’m so conflicted.
 
It will be a great thing to put on your resume when applying for jobs and it will give you real world experience.
 
Is there anything anyone is doing to "prep"? Like going over the top 200 drugs (brand/generic/class/mechanism of action or anything? I need to look at the P1 year and see what I can brush up on now. I havent worked in a pharmacy in almost 4 years!

Have you heard anything? It's getting so close to August. I think I'm gonna register for biochemistry 2 and try to get pharmacy experience j.i.c.
 
WOOOOOO!!! We are getting close! I start the MBA classes in just a few weeks, and I just finished my last prerequisite, calculus. Woo hoo! Who's super-excited?!?!?

No I havent heard anything yet. It hit 4 weeks on Thursday and still nothing. When I called they said they are still reviewing applicants and file and that once a decision is made, I will know. The end of 4 weeks is on Thursday so hopefully I will hear by then.

I will. I just called and the admission specialist and her voicemail said she is out of office till July 8 so I just emailed the Admissions Office.
