Recommendation???

I am another health care professional who has no idea about podiatry.
I apologize first for being stupid...

When I stand for really longtime, JOB requirement.... such as 10~12 hrs,
my left foot and knee hurts like hell. my whole left left gets really sore...yeh the whole leg.. When I go for run, only my left leg and knee hurts.

my current job requires me to stand for very very longtime so I called one of my buddy who had similar problem and when he went to see a podiatrist and gave him a 'ortho??' shoes and now he's pain free...

Do I need a similar tx?

I am a NY now, any recommendation on podiatry clinic? I would rather see a resident since I am a resident myself...( attendings are expensive)
