which of following is not correct about interleukins?

1. IL-5 is produced by activated T helper cells and mast cells.
2. IL-3 is secreted by T helper cells and mast cells.
3. IL-8 is secreted by monocytes and macrophages.
4. IL-10 is produced by activated T cells and mast cells
5. IL-7 is secreted by bone marrow stromal cells.

(reference from Kaplan Dent essentials:

IL-5 (source) TH2 cees
IL-3 TH cells, NK cells
IL-8 Macrophagess, endothelial cesss
IL-10 TH2 cells
IL-7 Primary lymph organs (so this one should be correct answer)?

Should be B, I think since decreased O2--increase the H+, tissue should be diated to get more o2. constrict the vessel will increase the damege to the tissue.

please correct me if i am wrong

i thought that constriction of coronary arteries was right coz it ll cause decrease blood flow to other parts of body and keeps more blood in heart and increase oxygen tension in myocardium..

any more suggestions?

After prolonged acidosis, which of the following represents the nitrogenous product that is excreted in high amounts in the urine?

A. Urea
B. Ammonia----answer
C. Uric acid
D. Creatinine
E. Aspartic acid

the key is A, urea. that means the hepatic function is ok and can still synthsize the urea

what enhances anterior guidance –

a. increased horizontal distance nd decreased vertical overlap
b. decreased horizontal distance nd increased vertical overlap
c. both increase
d. both decrease

what enhances anterior guidance –

a. increased horizontal distance nd decreased vertical overlap
b. decreased horizontal distance nd increased vertical overlap
c. both increase
d. both decrease

answer is:

B: decreased horizontal distance nd increased vertical overlap

the key is B. vasodilation of coronary vessels

ya it was a mistake ..agree with the answer B coz as coronary arteries supply blood to heart, increased blood flow required to increase oxygen tension...hence vasodilation..

Hey hw abt bennt movemnt??

IN HINGE AXIS MOVEMENT THERE OCCURS ROTATION FOLLOWD BY TRANSLATION THT IS BENNET MOVEMNT

I THNK DURIN LATERAL MOVENT ROTATION OF CONDYLE FOLLOWD BY TRANSLATION ONLY OCCURS??????????

A A trapezoidal outline
B. Symmetry between its mesial and distal portions
c. A mesial portion that is thinner faciolingually than the distal portion
D. A distal portion that displays some concavity in its facial outline
E. Less faciolingual thickness than the crown of a mandibular canine

no hinge axis movement occur during jaw opening just rotation or forward translation
but Bennet movement occur in lateral movement

The bodily lateral movement or lateral shift of the mandible during a laterotrusive movement.

Mandibular lateral translation (Bennett movement) occurs during the
A earliest stage of lateral movement.
B. latter stage of protrusive movement.
C. middle stage of retrusive movement.
D. hinge axis movement of the mandible.
E. ending stage of exhibiting a border movement.

If you think of it carefully, you will understand that the translation occured in the early stage of the lateral movement.

Hinge axis movement of mandible occurs when you open the mouth and the condyle goes mostly rotation.
