A story about how a program where prisoners are raising puppies for injured soldiers. It seems like a pretty good concept and I was curious if it could be applied to other populations besides prisoners.
I know that service dogs are sometimes used by those with mental illness but I was more curious if there any sort of programs you had heard of where people with mental illness might help raise puppies or other animals. The article made it sound like it is a very productive experience for the person raising the puppy.
