Does anyone have any advice about how many prelim apps to apply for?

Getting an internship spot in CA is really rough, so I applied for just about every prelim and transitional program in California, Seattle, Nevada, and Phoenix. Ended up picking 13 to interview at. Ranked all 13. Matched my #4.
