The OTCAS says 7500 characters is the max, but do the personal essays need to be that long? I'm working on a rough draft now, and I feel like I've nearly said all I want to say at 4000 characters. I'm afraid I'll end up being wordy if I try to get close to the 7500 mark.

Your essay does not have to be the maximum length. If you think you've said all you can say, then you should be good.
