1)Which of the following represents the correct size and characteristic of the nerve fibers that conduct sensory input of pain from the oral facial region
A. Large diameter,myelinated.
B. Small diameter,myelinated.
C. Large diameter,unmyelinated.
D. Small diameter,unmyelinated.----ans

2)Which of the following characterize both active transport and facilitated diffusion
A. Hydrolysis of ATP
B.competitve inhibition
C.Transport bidirectional
D.Transport against a concentration gradient.------ans
for 2nd answer, the facilitated diffusion does not occur against the concentration gradient but active transport do occur against the concentration gradient, so i think the ans should be transport bidirectional

thank you Godblessus..
Next question is..
Ulcers of recurrent herpes occur on mastication mucosa.Herpetic ulcers could occur in which of the following locations?
labial mucosa
hard palatal mucosa
buccal mucosa
mucosa of the soft palate

The articulating surface of the adult mandibular condyle is covered by which of the following substance?
elastic tissue

facilitated diffusion - goes from high concentration to low concentration, doesn't require ATP.
active transport - goes from low to high concentration, requires ATP

I am not able to recall this one, but have some idea that herpetic lesions occur in posterior part of oral cavity.
Correct me if i m wrong.

this is a question in decks..

ill breif, when a patient drinks tons of fluid, what happens to urine??

A)plasma osmolarity HIGHER than normal, large amount of dilute urine

B)plasma osmolarity higher than normal, large amount of concentrated urine

C)plasma osmolarity lesser than normal, large amount of dilute urine

D)plasma osmolarity lesser than normal, large amount of concentrated urine

PLEASE DO HELP ME, THE ANSWER GIVEN IN DECKS IS "A"
but i think the answer is C, as more fluids less osmolarity and large dilute urine,,,,,,

PLEASE DO HELP ME,,,AND ADVICE THE CORRECT ANSWER,, THANKS A TON IN ADVANCE

answer for this question in deck wrong. at the end of the for this question you can find answer. low osmolarity more dilute urine. you think right i think

A. Hydrolysis of ATP
B.competitve inhibition
C.Transport bidirectional
D.Transport against a concentration gradient
it can't be transport against a concentration gradient it will not be facilitated
what about competitive inhibition?
