Yes, I just got the email today. My app was complete on July 20 or so. I submitted my app on 6/29.Wow, congrats! Did u just receive it, and would u mind me asking when your app was completed?
How many years have you applied? The average is 3 years of applying before getting accepted. Some are lucky and get in on the first try, but it's not common. This is my 3rd year. 19AA 19TS oGPA 3.62, sGPA 3.74well i am worried Did get an interview from Oklahoma first batch, received a notification from Oregon that I passed the first wave , My DAT is 21 and gpa is 3.9 overall have not heard from other schools. Applied to 10 other schools should I worry ohh I did many hours of volunteer work and even did dentist without borders my home state is Oklahoma
Do you have any data to support that claim? That’s way far out there to say avg is 3 Years. Especially with a top tier GPA and DAT...How many years have you applied? I don't think luck has anything to do with getting in on the first try, it's how you sell yourself. No offense, but if you didn't get in after the first cycle, why not try and raise your AA? No data to support the claim, only talking to the Assistant Dean of admissions at the university of Oklahoma. At that school they keep all the applications that they receive and will even pull old records to check for differences over the years. He said Dental school is hard and he wants to make sure applicants are truly committed. Now I'm not saying 1st years won't get in, because I know some do, but the average is low. Also not all schools are like OU and their application process, but several are.Do you have any data to support that claim? That’s way far out there to say avg is 3 Years. Luck may have been the wrong choice of words. You're absolutely right about writing a great personal statement and selling your self to the committee. I don't know about you but my personal letter/statement has gotten better than the first time I applied. Looking back, I can see mistakes I made in previous application cycles. As for the DAT, no offense taken. I graduated in 2001 so it's been 16 years since I took some of these classes. I'm at peace with me 19AA.I don't think luck has anything to do with getting in on the first try, it's how you sell yourself. well for what it is worth I did interview on 9/23 at OU seemed to go well, again 21AA and gpa of 3.9 so I hope I am competitiveLuck may have been the wrong choice of words.
