I interviewed Monday morning from a non-match school and received this certiphi email the same evening. I'm pretty confused myself since I haven't received a call back from the school for an acceptance, but we were told we'll know by the end of this week or early next week. My understanding is that background checks are USUALLY done on admitted students prior to matriculation, but I could be wrong and am not getting excited until I get that acceptance phone call (if I get it). Anyone else get this email or know more about it?

I just spoke to ADEA PASS and Certiphi. Apparently some school accidentally sent everyone a background check. So basically they are investigating the problem. Hopefully I get my money back...

Does anyone know if Colorado is making you drop out of match if you accept? I know they require a non-refundable deposit - but I received no info about having to drop out of match. Any thoughts? Does anyone also know if Colorado generally fills before match or do they usually still have positions left after match is completed?

I applied too at Buffalo as international student. I didnt receive anything yet so I decided to send an email yesterday and they said That no decision was made yet.
I applied to 8 universities , two rejected email from UNC and Minnesota , no news from the others ...

I don't think they sent them out yet. As of Friday COB, none of the fellows have mentioned receiving one. Last year they were out by Thursday evening. But this year we interviewed twice as many applicants so I imagine it will take a little longer.

I heard from several fellows that they were accepted. I heard that a non-fellow received an acceptance. I do not know how many acceptances were sent out.

Because JU does not participate in the match, it's just like dental school was. We will send out acceptances, but not everyone will accept us. There is a deadline for them to respond. If they miss the deadline we send out the next batch of acceptances. I am not sure how many acceptances they sent out in the first batch, whether the entire 15 or just a few. It's possible they just sent out a few because we're closed today for Veteran's day. I think the fellows were starting to go crazy.

You know. Like everyone else waiting for an acceptance. The only difference is that we have to look the fellows in their face every day. Maybe they just gave them theirs to avoid dealing with that.
